Teacher in Foundation and Supported Learning (SEND Teacher)

Hours: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year annualised hours. 855 full time equivalent annual teaching hours. We would also consider applications for part time contracts.
Salary: In the range of £29,125 - £34,718 per annum for full time roles, salary pro-rated for part time roles (Dependent on skills, experience and qualifications)
Reporting to: Curriculum Manager

The Team
The Foundation and Supported Learning Team are very proud to support Northampton College's culture of high standards, an inclusive working and learning environment, and a professional committed workforce who are focussed on supporting our students to achieve the best they possibly can.
This creative and innovative well-established team works with students from different backgrounds with a range of additional and specialist needs. We take a highly inclusive and individualized approach to enable students to thrive and progress in study programmes ranging from Entry level to Level 2 alongside courses for adults. We have a well-established programme at our Booth Lane and Daventry Campuses and are starting to introduce programmes at our Lower Mounts campus.
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for a teacher to come and join our team to deliver across our programme offer, which encompasses Employability Skills (Entry to Level 2) including creative skills-based development for progress to further study or employment, Maths and English (Entry level to GCSE), alongside RARPA-accredited personal development programmes for both young people and adults. The role encompasses work all our campuses: Daventry, Booth Lane and Lower Mounts.

The Successful Candidate
The successful candidate's knowledge, skills, experience, abilities and qualities will include:
- A passionate commitment to helping young people at the start of their college journey develop the skills they need to succeed, ensuring they are visible and valued.
- An innovative and creative approach to meeting student needs.
- A demonstrable ability to contribute to the values and activities of the curriculum team.
- Experience of teaching Maths and English and vocational programmes that focus on the personal and social development of young people.
- 53 days pro rata annual leave, comprising 42 personal days, pro rata (1 September - 31 August), including 8 bank holidays and 3 closure days. The College reserves the right to designate up to 3 closure days per holiday year.
