Full Job Description
Thank you for your interest in this Teaching Assistant position supporting a child with additional needs in KS2. The post will commence in September 2024.
The Governors are seeking to appoint a passionate, positive and energetic Teaching Assistant to work as part of our dedicated team to support children 1:1 and in small groups. You will be expected to enhance the learning opportunities for the child by working with them in the classroom and to deliver specific interventions according to the childs needs.
The successful applicant will receive specific training that supports the childs needs and the Education Health Care Plan. Experience of working with children with additional needs is an essential requisite of the person specification.
This is a part time variable hours contract (16.25 to 27.5 hours per week) , linked to children with Education Health Care Plans. The role will also include 30 minutes of daily welfare duty. The position will remain until the circumstances of the child change, or should the child leave the school.

- Support the teacher in the provision of a highly differentiated curriculum
- Monitor pupil progress in line with school practice
- Liaise with parents and other agencies
- Continue to support and develop the child's self esteem
TA level 2 or equivalent- GCSE English and Maths
- First-aid
- Safeguarding, Experience working alongside children with delays in language skills, early learning and play skills, social interaction skills, and self-help and early independence skills.
- Experience of using a multi-sensory approach and different ways of recording.
Support the child to access all aspects of school life
Desirable Qualifications
Experience in pre-teach strategies.
