Full Job Description
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the fabulous Butcombe Brewery Sales Team!
We offer an incredible range of our own beers, IPA's and Lagers and you will be selling into customers around the Somerset and BANES area.
Key Responsibilities/Main Duties:
Manage and develop a portfolio of on trade direct and indirect customers by ensuring profitable distribution of Butcombe ale/cider brands and associated factored beer, wines, spirits and soft drinks
Agree trade terms with customers within company policy and as appropriate to the scale of opportunity , ensuring the products are being sold in line with brand guidelines and customers are adhering to the terms agreed, whilst maximizing profitability
Actively look to find new distribution points for Butcombe brands in appropriate profitable outlets
Ensure Butcombe brands are represented in the best possible way and are featured in the most prominent locations in the outlet within marketing guidelines and budget constraints
Maintain and agreed level of call coverage, in line with business scale and opportunity to ensure correct balance of time allocated to service existing and prospecting new customers . Typically 35 calls per week
Support team mates in additional prospecting or marketing events in both on and off trade
Maintain accurate and up to date records of customer contacts and discussions and share with the business where relevant
Responsible for ensuring customers pay promptly and do not surpass agreed credit limits, aiding the credit control function as required to enforce policy or recover debt
Ensure customers are fully aware of the Butcombe service offering and help relevant functions deliver on this service, and if necessary manage the customers in areas of conflict to keep Butcombe costs down. Includes service promise, forecasting any unusual orders and providing adequate lead times
Report as required to the business regarding performance and key variances
Keep all administration up to date , including expenses, emails etc
Participate in projects as the need arises
