Our services run 24/7 and all our Rehabilitation Assistant roles offer core hours of 07.00-22.00. Full-time roles operate on a 4 days on, 4 days off schedule and part-time roles are 2 days on, 6 days off. Please note that this role is locality based visiting patients in their homes and therefore it is highly desirable that all applicants have a valid driving licence for the UK and access to a vehicle. Gloucestershire Health and Care (GHC) are looking to recruit enthusiastic and motivated individuals across the county who want to work with people in their communities. We can offer you training, development opportunities, regular supervision and support., The Reablement and Home First Team provide vital short-term services to people in their homes to help them regain as much independence as possible after a stay in hospital, an injury or illness.
No previous experience in a paid/unpaid caring role is required. To be successful in this role you should:
+ enjoy working with people;
+ understand what motivates people;
+ be comfortable being involved in practical, sometimes personal and intimate care provision for people;
+ have a desire to learn and develop skills;
+ able to work alone and in a team setting .
If you do have experience of working in a caring role, it will prove very useful and will allow you to progress more rapidly.

The following shifts are currently highly sought after for this locality:
Am - 08.00-13:30 (4 on 4 off)
Pm - 17.00-22:00 (4 on 4 off)
(either morning or evening for someone who wants part-time)
Alternatively for any of these, 2 on 6 off would be considered although 4 on 4 of is preferable
