Full Job Description

This role is centred around supporting some of our more digital products and digital product growth. There will a significant amount of capability growth activity around the ILS skillsets and continuous improvement planning. This role will also require process governance activity.

The Product Support Engineering Manager will assist in the management of the Product Support Organisation and engineering staff helping to develop and implement the strategy for growth and support to the widening BDUK business areas.

Boeing Defence UK operates an engineering matrix organisation consisting of engineering Departments that deliver technical skills, expertise and products into our programmes. One of the Departments is Product Support Engineering which provides the product supportability infrastructure including the following technical areas:

  • Logistic Support Analysis

  • Reliability and Maintainability

  • Reliability Centred Maintenance Analysis

  • Engineering Data Exploitation

  • Integrated Logistic Support Engineering and

  • Technical Publications

  • CAMSS

  • Ground Support Equipment


  • The role will also be responsible for both technical leadership and personnel management to ensure operational objectives are met. You will have access to many resources that you will be able to flexibly access in order to inform and support your development throughout your career with us.

  • This post will require some management experience.

  • Experience and People Management.

  • Ability to manage Technical Programmes

  • Ability to understand Budgets and deliver to cost.

  • Ability to write Technical and Business documentation to a high standard within the context of Product Support artifacts.

  • Some Commercial or Project Management experience is desirable.
