Full Job Description

An excellent opportunity has arisen for an Insurance Software Developer to become part of NFU Mutual's successful Pricing Team based at our Head Office in Stratford-upon-Avon. This varied and stimulating role will offer you the chance to utilise your software development knowledge to play an active part in the design and development of pricing algorithms for deployment to live production environments.

You'll work with the wider Pricing team to develop their requirements into production ready algorithms to enhance the rating capability of the business. This role offers an excellent opportunity to demonstrate people and project management skills whilst directing and coaching small groups to deliver projects.

From day one, you'll become a valuable member of the Underwriting & Pricing team and a key contributor to the department, where you can make an impact and where you will continue to grow both personally and professionally. This Pricing Insurance Software Developer role is known internally as a Principal Analyst.

We are seeking a professional with Radar development experience who can also demonstrate strong knowledge of the insurance sector.

The role will suit an insurance professional seeking to take the next step in your career, utilise your sector knowledge and further develop your technical IT skills. You'll benefit from working within a highly successful and progressive company which will support with you with full training for your role.

You'll be a hard-working and enthusiastic person who is able to work collaboratively and build effective stakeholder relationships at all levels. The following skills and abilities will make your application stand out even further but they are not essential:

  • Knowledge of Insurance software such as Polaris ProductWriter, Ratebase or Landscape

  • Experiencing of coaching and/or mentoring junior colleagues

  • Software testing and basic SQL experience

  • Exposure to Agile project methodology.
