Practice Nurse Part time

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Practice Nurse to join our team at Cantilupe Surgery in Hereford City from September 2024. This will be a part time role 2 to 3 days per week, based at both Cantilupe and Hampton Dene surgeries.

Your role with be to provide good treatment room services to our patients, and have a good all round knowledge of chronic disease clinic work., See attached job description - Work will include the usual GP surgery treatment room work, to include, immunizations (adult and child) , cervical cytology, ECGs, travel screening and imms, contraception advice, INRs, and dressings including complex leg dressings.

You will be expected to have evidence of training to provide care for patients with all long term conditions. A special interest and/ or qualification in diabetes and/or heart disease would be desirable but not essential and training would be offered for the right candidate.

Cantilupe Surgery is a large city centre training practice with 12630 patient, based over 2 sites within the city. Parking is available at both sites for staff.

We achieved a 'Good' CQC rating (2024) and were awarded 'General Practice of the year' at the 2023 Herefordshire Health and Social Care awards, voted for by our patients.

We have a large GP (6) and on the day ANP/Paramedic team supported by Practice nurses and HCAs as well as a pharmacy team and other attached PCN staff including, wellbeing, safeguarding and care home support workers.

You will be very well supported by our lead Nurse, who will ensure you are fully compliant with all aspects of work expected.

We have an active PCN with good peer support from both within the team and via the network.
