Full Job Description

The current opportunity is available for current Manchester Met students, to apply you must be based in the UK for the duration of the role., Design engaging psychology content for the self-study pack, including written materials, interactive activities, and quizzes.

Identify key topics and concepts within psychology that are suitable for self-directed study and align with the learning objectives of the self-study pack.

Conduct thorough research on selected topics and create well-written and informative content that is accessible to learners at undergraduate and postgraduate level.

Develop interactive learning activities to reinforce understanding and facilitate active engagement with the materials.

Design quizzes and self-assessment exercises to gauge learners' understanding of the material and assess their progress.

Work with staff from the Psychology department and an animator from the School of Digital Arts (SODA) to develop visually engaging and user-friendly self-study pack materials.

We are seeking a motivated and creative MSc or PhD student in psychology to design engaging content for an online RISE self-study pack. This project offers an excellent opportunity for a passionate individual to apply their knowledge and expertise in psychology to create educational materials that will empower learners to engage in self-directed study.,

  • Current MSc or PhD student in the psychology department.

  • Strong background knowledge in psychology, with expertise in one or more specific areas of the discipline.

  • Excellent research and writing skills, with the ability to communicate complex concepts clearly and effectively.

  • Good attention to detail (because part of the process will involve proof reading).

  • Creativity and innovation in developing engaging and interactive educational materials.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

  • Passion for education and a commitment to creating high-quality learning experiences for learners.


  • Desirable
  • Proficiency in multimedia development tools and software is desirable but not required.

  • Familiarity with the RISE platform.
