Full Job Description

We are currently recruiting for an IT Support Administrator to join the Information Technology (IT) team to cover a maternity period of up to 12 months

The purpose of this role is to perform IT Administrative and technical tasks for the team inclusive of IT purchasing, invoicing, and desktop setup for end-users. The role also co-ordinates IT services for telephony, IT hardware, external contractors, and departmental moves.

Your responsibilities in this role would be:

Lifetime user management:

  • Responsible for tracking Validated User Access forms across the business.

  • Ensuring the starters, movers & leavers process is controlled and managed.


  • IT Administration:
  • Administer IT purchasing and receipting of hardware, software, consumables & licensing and ensure fixed assets are recorded.

  • Ensuring all telephony accounts are controlled and administration requests are carried out with network service provider.


  • Technical support:
  • Responsible for installing and upgrading Windows 10/11 laptops and PCs.

  • 1st line Helpdesk support to the business to include laptop builds for new and repurposed equipment, password resetting and account unlocking.


  • Liaising with third-party contractors for equipment repairs, scheduled services and equipment moves.

    Good standard of secondary education (GCSE) in English, Maths and Science.

  • Experience of working in an IT and/or administrative support role

  • Good administrative skills with the ability to prioritise tasks

  • Proficient in the use of MS Excel and other MS Office Applications

  • Some technical working knowledge of MS Windows versions 10&11

  • Knowledge of Active Directory and Account Access Control requirements would be beneficial

  • A good understanding of Enterprise Resource Management Systems or IT Helpdesk case management systems will be useful.

  • A confident communicator who can understand basic technical IT hardware and software problems.
