Full Job Description

  • Dismantling, cleaning, decontaminating inspecting, assembling, packing and sterilizing medical/surgical instruments equipment and endoscopes to the standard required of the department and accredited bodies. Including general housekeeping duties as required.

  • Operation of sterilizers, instrument washer/disinfectors endoscope washer/disinfectors/drying cabinets. Undertake the routine testing and maintenance of equipment and the completion of relevant documentation.

  • Packaging, sealing, labelling decontamination and sterilizing of medical and surgical equipment.

  • + Liaise with supervisors and colleagues. Exchange and receive any routine information within the Department and with the user departments.
  • Report any faulty machinery or general faults to a supervisor.
