Our team of dynamic and progressive physiologists already provides technical support and patient care in PCI, device implant and follow-up, structural heart disease interventions and electrophysiology. We also engage in advanced practice as loop recorder implanters. We have the drive to build on this and further develop areas of advanced practice so that we can provide the best care we can for our patients and support all cardiac physiologists to realise their full potential., The post holder will work as a key member of the Invasive Cardiology Physiology Team. They will work within the Invasive Cardiology team delivering a professional service, which meets the needs of the Directorate, and the general clinical needs of the Trust.

Undertake highly specialised physiological tests on patients to inform clinical diagnostic and support treatment.

Undertake advanced physiological tests and procedures.

Receive training in complex device procedures (if required) including micra, S-ICD, conduction system pacing.

Receive training in structural cases (if required) including TAVI, PFO closure, Left atrial appendage occlusion, Mitraclip.

Undertake a structured EP training program (if required) including conventional EP, 3D mapping, Cryoballon, Q-Dot.

Provide clinical supervision and training of trainee staff and other professionals

Support cardiac physiologists working in all areas providing assistance and troubleshooting as required

Contribute to departmental development, training programmes and organisation both in short and long term
