Grounds person / Maintenance

We are looking for an experienced and hard-working individual to join our Grounds team, to work to a high standard.
Training available.
24hrs a week (flexible on hours per day over the working week).
52 weeks.
Starting salary (to be reviewed at 6 months) £15,300.48.

Wilds Lodge School is split between three sites, so a driving licence will be essential to enable you to travel to the site in which you are required at.

Your duties will include the following across all three sites:

Grounds Responsibilities

• Maintaining lawns, ride on mowing, push mowing, strimming


• Maintaining flower beds, eliminating weeds. digging over, edging


• Maintaining cutting hedges, shrubs, trees


• Clearing ivy from walls


• Weed spraying


• Marking white lines


• Watering flowers/hanging baskets


• Litter picking, keeping sites clear of rubbish


• Leaf clearing


• Blowing debris


Maintenance Responsibilities


• Rota based lock-up


• Fueling vehicles


• Vehicle washing and hoovering


• Gritting sites, snow clearing


• Gutter clearing


• Footing ladder


• Cleaning out the ponds


• Jet washing


Other Responsibilities


• Animal feeding, weekend on a rotational basis


• Assist Contractors on site


• Basic maintenance
