Graduate Estimator / Quantity Surveyor

We are seeking a graduate for the role of Estimator / Quantity Surveyor to work alongside our team of Estimators and National Sales Manager.

For this role you will be beneficial to have experience of Estimating or Quantity Surveying in the manufacturing sector or construction. The role will be predominantly looking at new enquiries/tenders, pricing/measuring from drawings and compiling quotes through to final account.

Key Duties Include:

· Estimates of both labour and materials from concept drawings and sketches, task descriptions and proposal documents

· Getting quotes from suppliers and contractors within a specified time frame

· Liaising closely with other departments to refine internal cost estimates.

· Preparing and submitting quotations and details of costs for work to be done

· Monitoring the costs at the different stages of a project to ensure it stays within the estimated costs

· BTEC /HND or Degree in Quantity Surveying

· The ability to read architectural plans and develop cost estimates.

· Proficiency with word processing, spreadsheet or estimating software

· The ability to work under pressure to meet set goals, budgets and deadlines

· Attention to detail

· The ability to manage time well and multitask

· Confidence in communicating with customers, suppliers, tradesmen and colleagues.

· Commercial Awareness.

· Working hours will be 8am - 5pm Monday to Thursday, 8am - 4.30pm Friday, with additional hours where needed to meet business demands.
