Full Job Description

  • Supporting the Director & Head of Executive Recruitment & Strategic Sourcing in all aspects of the recruitment process.

  • Developing an expert knowledge of relevant markets and the NG business.

  • Managing executive level candidate and stakeholder relationships.

  • Proactive candidate sourcing through headhunting and networking.

  • Conducting thorough research to navigate target organisations and build lists of candidates that accurately reflect the client briefing.

  • Identifying relevant candidate profiles using a variety of sourcing techniques.

  • Executing direct talent sourcing practices and candidate screening techniques to include resume pre-screening, telephone interviewing, and shortlisting., Working closely with colleagues and occasionally hiring managers to set expectations for the recruitment process and to fulfil the required search briefing.

  • Conducting ongoing candidate pipeline development activities and talent network expansion for active and future requisitions.

  • Balancing deadlines and deliverables for multiple searches at a time.

  • Screening candidates to ascertain fit to available position using behavioural and competency-based interview methodologies. Provide high quality, pre-vetted shortlist of candidates to hiring managers.

  • Fully understanding National Grid's Vision, Business Model, Employee Value Proposition, benefits, and total rewards philosophy to engage candidates.

    A high degree of customer focus and the ability to build and maintain professional relationships.

  • Good attention to detail.

  • A strong drive for results and a commitment to producing a high level of work efficiently and often within tight time frames.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • The ability to adapt to new processes and effectively deal with change and ambiguity.

  • Prior recruitment experience gained in a recruitment agency or in-house resourcing team.

  • Excellent stakeholder management skills.

  • Ability to plan, organise and prioritise.
