Full Job Description

As Energy Data Administrator within Optimised, you will be part of the Energy Analyst team. Whilst this is not a completely new function; it is the first of its kind in that you will also be supporting the wider Managed Services division, which includes our Procurement and Bureau and Recharging teams. You will therefore have the exciting opportunity to gain a wider view of Optimised's data and collaborate with multiple teams.
The role will include liaising with Meter Operators, Data Collectors and Data Aggregators to set up and maintain agreements for our clients, whilst also ensuring timely receipt of energy data and querying any anomalies or missing data.
We are aiming to conduct first stage interviews via teams and therefore will look to process these according to availability, week commencing 20th May.
Second stage interviews are intended for the following week commencing 28th May.

What you'll actually do

  • Oversee the sourcing of all data streams coming into the Optimised database. This includes utility billing, half hourly interval data (fiscal and sub-meters), BMS data points, IoT sensor data points

  • Administer data feeds and ensure data continuity across our approximately 20,000 data points

  • Monitor energy data on aM&T platforms to identify and resolve erroneous and anomalous data through platform tools

  • Configure energy alerts through the platform to identify erroneous data

  • Work with metering team to support new meters coming on to aM&T platform

  • Ensure that all client Letters of Authority are up to date at all times

  • Work with MOP/DADC to configure data pipelines

  • Liaise with MOP/DADC, metering team and BEMS teams where relevant to ensure data continuity

  • Complete general recurring and ad hoc administrative tasks when required

  • Upload monthly tariffs where required


  • Achieve a high data completeness on all client portfolios

  • Assist with general recurring and ad hoc administrative tasks when required


  • Coordinate Meter Operator / Meter Asset Management / Data Collection contracts

  • Liaise with utility providers and distribution network operators to support new connections, disconnections and smart meter upgrades


  • Coordinate metering / site works activities for our clients and liaise with the Procurement / Bureau teams as required

  • Accurately log time against engagements in Kimble

    Strong attention to detail and analytical thinking

  • Familiar with Microsoft Office systems, particularly Excel

  • Customer service experience with strong investigation skills and the ability to follow queries through from the start to the end.

  • Coding knowledge (Python, SQL) not essential but desireable

  • Eligibility to work in the UK
