Design and Development Engineer

The role will involve the design and development of new products, working to achieve customer requirements whist maintaining the integrity of the EMC system. There will be the development and expansion of existing series, researching potential additions to our range and creating the design and drawings for these. Another aspect of the role will be the creation of variants or modifications to existing products.

There will also be the need to liaise with our manufacturing subcontractors and, if required, directly with our customers. KEC is a small company and, as such, the position will require involvement in many aspects of the business. Working in the assembly area, handling the product and ensuring that quality standards are maintained will also be a requirement of the position.

The successful candidate will report to the Technical Director for Engineering matters and the Managing Director for General administration.

The candidate will require to be qualified to degree level and have an excellent knowledge of CAD systems, specifically SolidWorks.
