Full Job Description

Dudley Council's Housing Asset Management Section is a multi-disciplinary team located within the Housing Directorate of Dudley Council.

The work we do across asset management, building safety compliance, planned works, new build and regeneration, adaptations for the disabled, and procurement allows us to support our residents to live safely and warmly at home.

We do this by undertaking significant investment in our housing stock, year on year with works varying from small repairs to planned kitchen replacements, large extensions to assist those with disability need right through to conversion and new build schemes.

We have an exciting opportunity to help us deliver this service and are looking for a Compliance Manager to help us ensure our residents are safe, our assets are compliant, and our compliance management data systems are kept accurate and up to date., The role of Compliance Manager will ensure all DMBC Housing buildings are within the scope of legislation, managed within statutory compliance and maintained safely. This role will also ensure safety and compliance is evidenced through the creation and continued management of building safety cases presented to the Building Safety Regulator.

  • Extensive management experience of leading large diverse property compliance teams working in a complex, professional asset management or Social Housing

  • Extensive experience within the property industry OR previous Property services experience, within social housing or the private sector.

  • An operational knowledge of the Big 8 BS&C, and an understanding of EPC & MEES, Housing Health & Safety
