The Blue Hut is a beach-side café in Teignmouth, Devon. We sell internationally inspired street food and locally roasted coffee to tourists and locals alike. We pride ourselves on tasty, unique home-made food, consistently good coffee and great customer service.

We are growing our team for the 2024 season and need full or part time Baristas to serve customers, make espresso coffee, hot drinks to order and assist in the running of a busy beach side café. Mainly day shifts with no late nights can be a bonus as hospitality rarely offers work with a certain level of flexibility of shift patterns meaning work life balance is more attainable.

You will be responsible for :

· Setting up the espresso machine, cafe and maintaining standards of hygiene, presentation and efficiency.

· Maintaining attention to detail and consistent coffee in a fast-paced, busy environment and exceeding customer expectations.

· Monitoring standards, stock checks and ordering.

· Working within a small team to create a positive environment where all team members can flourish.

· Building a rapport with team members and customers.

We are looking for people with experience of:

· A number of years working espresso coffee and within the service industry.

Working within a team and training less experienced/new staff.

· Administration aspects of a cafe, Food Hygiene law, stock control and ordering.

· Running a service, alone or in charge of a team.

The Blue Hut has operated in its current capacity for 7 years and we've always had a fantastic happy team. Managing to improve and refine the business with each season and every new team. At the heart of this business is a happy team who love to come to work. We have an incredible loyal customer base that grows every year. Many of these regular customers come to feel like friends; repeat trade is a huge part of what we do. A desire to send each and every customer away happy is core to what we do and why the business has gone from strength to strength.
