Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a self-motivated and enthusiastic Assistant Management Accountant to join the Financial Management Team at Birmingham Women's and Children's NHS FT. Specifically, the post holders will be aligned to the Medicine Directorate (Specialised Medicine and Genetics) or Corporate Services.

The post holder will be responsible for supporting the delivery of monthly Management Accounts information to internal and external stakeholders, and providing a high quality Management Accounts service to the Trust., The main duties include but are not limited to:

  • Providing valued, accurate support and advice to senior finance colleagues and budget holders.

  • Raising invoices.

  • Maintaining staffing establishment records.

  • Preparing budget adjustments, accruals & prepayments with clear and concise working papers to feed the monthly reporting process, within the agreed monthly accounting timetable.

  • Provision of supplementary information to focus attention upon areas where stricter monitoring is required

  • To participate in the provision of budget holder training

  • Prepare cost estimates in an appropriate form.
